They have remained in the Czech Rupublic ever since, working throughout the past century on different films, papers and chemicals for use by medical schools and the military - as well as ordinary photographers in Eastern Europe. Their black and white films are the result of decades of expertise - you will not be disappointed!

Surprising and fun...!

I joined the Frugal Film Project for 2022. This years challenge is to shoot 1 roll of the same type of inexpensive film stock for each month of the year. I chose to shoot Foma 200 as I have never shot this film before. I am enjoying getting to know this film better. I love experimenting, trying out new things and this film is very cost effective for that. So far I've used it on street, landscapes and abstracts. I find there is a lot of tonality and detail with this film. I'm finding it scans well too. I develop using 1:50 Blazinal (based on Agfa's Rodinal) and I scan at home.

My new favourite

I’m new to analogue photography and bought this to test a camera. I really love the pictures that came out, and this roll was an unexpected new favourite. I’ll definitely be repurchasing!
