Perfect for: Great All-Rounder, Beginners, Landscapes, Street Photography, Pinhole/Long-Exposure, Architecture, Creative/Abstract

Fine grain, high contrast, and good dynamic range. Very moody looking, especially in darker photos. It seems to handle underexposure better than overexposure, which is strange, but means you can get good results in lower light than you might think with 100 ISO

A great alternative

Cheap and cheerful is how I would describe this film in a nutshell. I really enjoy using it because of its fine grain, contrast and dynamic range. I'm a beginner at developing my own film, and this emulsion has handled my undisciplined attempts at film processing really well; it is easy to scan too. It's a great alternative to more pricey emulsions.

I love this film, it's everything you'd expect from an ISO 100 traditional emulsion; fine but not invisible grain, good exposure latitude and bags of character. The range of tones this film can produce and the way it tends to render stone and brickwork always leaves me craving to go shoot more. This film is also repackaged and sold by Lomo and Kosmofoto.

Do not underestimate this film

I bought this as a cheap test and an alternative to Ilford HP5 and I am very surprised.

This film is very crisp and gives great contrast with dark blacks and bright whites.

I love it to much I've swapped it from the Ilford as my go to film.

Used in my Olympus Trip and Rollei 35, I always get great results.

I can't really justify spending any more

This film just works!

I'm not looking for perfection and I don't get a microscope out to check grain size, if the pictures look good I'm happy.

I like this film because it seems to cope well with my rough & ready stand development i.e. no temperature control, timed to nearest few minutes not seconds, etc. Even photographing a person in a dark coat against bright sun/snow earlier this year the results were good.

It also seems to dry quite flat so it is easy to scan.
