Kentmere 400 35mm Film - 24 exp
Our Price: £3.80 GBP100193
A great starter-film for people trying 35mm film photography for the first time. The soft backing allows for easy scanning, the images will have medium contrast and fine grain, and its mid-speed rating means it can be used in a variety of lighting situations.

Kentmere was a small black-and-white film manufacturer based in the Lake District for many years. It was acquired by Ilford's parent company in 2007, who consolidated production in their Mobberley plant. The brand exists as a more-affordable alternative to Ilford, with the same quality and consistency of production but with savings made in the emulsion chemicals.

I really enjoy using this film. Its inexpensive and yet has a lovely grain and quality to it. Shot a couple of rolls of it recently and was thrilled with the results.
This is a cracking film for B&W beginners and pros alike. Great versatility in both indoor and outdoor environments with a nice grain and lovely contrast.
This was a great film to start with - rendering very acceptable indoor and outdoor shots. 20 keepers out of 24 is a good result. Ready to load another of the same.
Had never shot B&W before and this film just may have convinced me to shoot more.
Great detail in the images, punchy contrast with tons of detail, will definetely shoot more of this in the furutre.
When I couldn’t get hold of any HP5+ at the start of lockdown, I decided to give this film a try. I am so glad I did because I love the results I got from it.
I’ll definitely be adding this to my regular film stocks from now on.
