Fujifilm Provia 100F Film 35mm Colour ISO 100
Our Price: £19.50 GBP100128
A professional 35mm slide film from Fuji that aims to faithfully reproduce skin tones and colours for a realistic and authentic photograph. A great film for a wide range of situations and lighting and one of the few professional slide emulsions in existence, it won't let you down.

Fuji is one of the most famous Japanese global brands - and along with Eastman Kodak - dominated the film photography market for most of the 20th century. However the dawn of digital photography put significant strain on it's operations and it has restructured itself (and part-merged with Xerox) around a more diverse set of industries such as digital press, computer systems, and photocopying services. It's focus on traditional film has waned (giving rise to the nickname "FujiNOTfilm") - discontinuing several lines which has caused understandable upset among loyal users and planning to cut several more. However their creation and innovation of the Fuji Instax system (the most popular instant photography format today) means they will remain relevant to analogue photography for many years to come.

This was my first time using slide film and the results were even better than expected. Great saturation and great contrast with very fine grain. This film seems like it would be great for creative/studio work too, only downside is the price of it. Some shots were slightly overexposed but the film handled it brilliantly still.
Great saturation & contrast, but not over saturation. Blacks are black & not color shifted. You can over expose about 1 stop & still have a great image. Easy to scan & not super expensive.
I used an entire roll of this on one beach from the afternoon into the evening. The resulting images had great sharpness and reduced grain which I really liked. One concern I have with this film however is the colours. I have seen accurate colours be produced by this film, however I found my images weren't necessarily true to life. However, this could be down to develop/scanning and the fact that this was my second ever roll of film I shot (human error). I love the results that this film, and slide film in general, offer and I have a roll of Provia 100 that I am waiting to shoot, but the price means that it shall be saved for special occasions. The benefit that slide film gives to an image is worth it for me, but it's definitely worth considering carefully how all 36 exposures will be used.
In short, what sells this film for me and means that I'd use it again is its sharpness and grain over the colour reproduction.
This film has a very unique colour balance, which is great for creative portrait or even commercial photography.
This is an absolutely fantastic slide film which has very punchy and vibrant colours, especially blues and greens.
The only thing in my eyes that lets this film down is the recent price increase!
Provia can be pushed a stop no problem. Works ways better in sunnier, brighter conditions than on duller days, or perhaps in a studio environment indoors.
I’ll be leaving reviews throughout the website with pictures for full frame scans, so if you’re like me who loves to see the entire image and border, you can see what the results will be like.
