Ilford was founded in 1879 in the English town of the same name. They are B&W royalty in the photography industry thanks to their 140-year heritage and their support for photographers with chemicals and development as well as film. In the mid-20th Century they produced several well-regarded camera lines (including one given to Princess Elizabeth that was later stolen!) but today they are focused on producing the best films and development processes that they can.

I loved the shots I got from this film! They have a very 1940s/Vintage vibe to them. I'm usually not a fan of Black and White but I will definitely shoot this again!
The tonality is beautiful, bar a couple of films of kentmere and tmax 400 this is pretty much my film staple I use it all the time I do have to say I am going to try it rated at 800iso because at base speed the contrast isn’t how I like but this is only personal preference it is good for beginners due to the exposure latitude I find it very forgiving
Nice forgiving film, can’t really go wrong.
Addictive stuff right here! This film is so enjoyable - works great in any weather, with any developer, has short development times and a nice greys.
Really good all round film. Lovely grain, doesn’t seem to be fussy about nailing the exposure. I used it in perfect bright sunlight and got great results and rushed back to buy another two rolls.
