Classic look

I really like the look of Ortho Plus. It gives a nice contrast and fine grain (quite hard to find focus under the enlarger). Definitely worth trying!

Beautiful, film film stock

This stuff is a classic for very good reason. Lovely rich blacks, well-tempered even if your exposure isn't perfect, really detailed. Something to like whether you're a beginner or an expert!

Depends!

I had seen both the official samples and the pictures submitted with reviews and it was quite obvious they were different, with the official samples displaying higher contrast, even in what appears to be overcast conditions - the stream for example. My own experiment more or less matched what I saw in the review pictures, with a considerably flatter look. I had to increase the contrast a fair amount in post but I'm quite happy with the way the scans held up. I have another roll which I will try to shoot in a more interesting location and lighting condition.

Great for fine art shots

I'm fairly new to shooting film but loved shooting Ortho. makes a nice change to HP5 which seems to be the go-to for choosing a black and white film. A fairly slow film (ISO 80), but gives gorgeous deep blacks and lovely grain. Love the contrast. Recommended for static shots to ensure plenty of light is given. I'd shoot this again in a heartbeat.
