Fuji is one of the most famous Japanese global brands - and along with Eastman Kodak - dominated the film photography market for most of the 20th century. However the dawn of digital photography put significant strain on it's operations and it has restructured itself (and part-merged with Xerox) around a more diverse set of industries such as digital press, computer systems, and photocopying services. It's focus on traditional film has waned (giving rise to the nickname "FujiNOTfilm") - discontinuing several lines which has caused understandable upset among loyal users and planning to cut several more. However their creation and innovation of the Fuji Instax system (the most popular instant photography format today) means they will remain relevant to analogue photography for many years to come.

Perfect for: Great All-Rounder
The only instax film you need

This film is all you really need for your instax. It is a great all rounder. 5/5

Perfect for: Great All-Rounder, Beginners, Portraits, Landscapes, Street Photography, Architecture, Creative/Abstract, Travel
Fun and easy to use (beginners will love this)

Brilliant little film. Fun for everyone, and very easy to use. Consistent results in pretty much any conditions.
Well worth the money. The only instant film that comes close is Fujifilm instax wide.
The problem that comes with the film being smaller, is that you have less detail than in the wide 300. The camera is smaller, and far more convenient to carry around though, so it just depends on personal preference.

Perfect for: Great All-Rounder, Beginners, Portraits
A mini classic

Lovely easy to shoot film, the one I use most often as it’s easy to pop the camera and a couple of packs of this in a handbag and just get on with shooting. Really fast developing time, lovely for portraits and group shots as skin tones develop really nicely, and everyone always wants to punch my pictures by the end of the night. Also great for outdoor photography - have got some lovely fairground attraction, holiday, and nature photos with this.

Perfect for: Great All-Rounder, Beginners, Portraits, Creative/Abstract
Fantastic Instant

This film is probably one of the best ways to introduce anyone to instant photograpthy. The film is amazing holding great colours while having a great light threshold. Incredible easy to load so it sthe perfect small size to carry with you everywhere.

Perfect for: Beginners, Portraits, Pinhole/Long-Exposure, Creative/Abstract
Fun, lovable and uniquely aesthetic.

Instax is pretty expensive, however that is easy to excuse. Getting a print directly out of the camera is extremely fun and a great way to capture something. The imperfections and tones create a unique aesthetic that no other film has. I always love to take an instax camera with me to get physical copies of photos to share and keep. Instax film is also very fun to experiment with since it is wildly different from roll film. Highly recommend instax to anyone looking into instant photography. Its extremely fun and although pricy, cheaper than polaroid alternatives.
