Nice general purpose film

This has ben siting in my store for a few months waiting for brighter days so, with bright but overcast light this afternoon, it got loaded into the Lubitel and taken for a trip to the last church in the area I haven't photographed over lockdown.

Light certainly wasn't ideal - bright but pretty flat - but the Earl Grey coped remarkably well, bringing out what contrast was there and delivering reasonable "punch" while retaining good tones with subtle graduation.

Sharpness was god as far as you can tell with a Lubitel's focusing limitations and latitude was excellent, as shown by the two "same" shots of the twin graves. On the first I caught the shutter lever, turning a 1/125s exposure into something close to 1/30s but the emulsion coped with the massive over-exposure remarkably well.

Because any fair review should mention any negative points, just be aware that this film will turn your developer an almost luminous green. It's startling but apparently doesn't have any bad effects on the chemistry.

Lubitel 2, developed in Rodinal 1+50 (8 minutes), Epson 600 scans with no post adjustments.

Great budget film stock

Lovely soft grain, but loses no detail. I shot my roll on a sunny day & it was perfect.

Great dynamic range

Tried this out on a lovely bright day using my Bronica S2a with a nikkor 200mm lens
metering with sekonic profi six Images developed in D76 1:1 for 9 min
The range of tones captured is fantastic as can be seen in the image of the Gate house archway. Detail was captured in the shadows and the highlights very well. I like this film for this reason and will be using it again.

Great Film

This film is really good. I have used it many times in different film cameras. So easy to use and develop.
Great results as well even at iso 100
I used the cinestill black and white developer with this and results are great !! develops in just 3 minutes !!
Would recommend this film more for beginners trying out 120 film.
Easy to load, use and develop

Nice results in my Pinhole

I used this as a first film in a 3d printed pinhole camera, so I was testing everything (I am also new to developing at home!). The results were great! Reciprocity failure wasn't too bad ( if you take super long exposures like with a pinhole camera this matters!). I found it easy to work with and certainly good value.
