Lomography has been at the forefront of the analogue revolution for decades. Starting in 1992 with some Viennese students falling in love with the aesthetic of a particular Soviet camera (the iconic LC-A) - they founded a movement and a company that would introduce a new generation to the joys of plastic cameras and experiemental film. Periodically innovating new cameras for existing formats - and sometimes bringing back formats specially for their cameras! - they are vibrant and creative

Anticipation...it makes the heart grow fonder. Well it did in the case of Lomography 100, as it was proving so popular, it was sold out every time I wanted to buy some. Finally I managed to track ssome down and the weather spirits rewarded me with a couple of beautifully crisp late winter days to load up my trusty XA2 and put this film through its paces. The colours were well saturated and the rendering punchy, without being pumped over the top. It felt like being taken back to my early years in photography, back when New Romantics walked the earth and Prince was singing about laughing in the Purple Rain. While I've only used it for landscapes so far, I look forward to trying it out in an urban environment (the results from the 400 speed version are pleasing so far). Perhaps I'll even get some sunshine on Leith...
If this film is shot in the perfect conditions, it's great! Colors look good, and detail is fine because of the speed. Cannot compare to any other Lomography films, but it's really good!
Lomography 100 is an awesome replacement for the higher speed 400 and 800 Lomography films which are so incredibly popular. I bought the 100 speed colour negative with the intention of shooting it at 800 as Lomography 800 was proving quite hard to get hold of being so popular!
The results were surprisingly satisfying, a heavy warm colour shift but incredibly pleasing. Shot at 100 the colours are punchy and the tones do have a Kodak Gold feel, maybe more a finer grain Colorplus. Nice warm balanced tones and incredibly pliable when pushed.
Don’t write off it as a slow film, try shoot it pushed, it certainly holds up nicely for a more vintage vibe.
I've tried a few rolls of this in 120 and now in 35mm and it has become my favourite colour film.
Lovely, natural colours. Well priced. Is it as flexible as something more expensive like Portra? Maybe not... but to be honest, if someone really tested me I probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
It is awesome. (Although everyone else seems to think so which is why it's often sold out!!!!)
shot the first half of the roll indoors in electric light, and the results were underwhelming. taking it outside on a bright, crisp winter afternoon though, the film really impressed. Excellent colour saturation, dealt well with contrast, and a budget-friendly price too!
