Got punch, and highlight seperation

It's a solid Ilford film, I think the Delta range is their 'professional' stock, but I don't know what that means. It scanned well and gave versatility. Its not a grey wash-out like HP5, it has good separation between high and low lights, a little narrow in latitude perhaps.

Glorious textures

A great all rounder B&W film that pulls out the textures of old stone and wood to excellent effect.

Good contrast

I think this is my favourite black and white film so far, nice and very clear, but still with some grain. Worked well across a range of light situations.

Brilliant film, but looks familiar

Honestly I don't think the grain is that much smaller than HP5 which is fine, but means i'll be sticking to HP5 in the future.

If we ignore that, the film produces detailed highlights and shadows and makes for a perfect B&W film (as does HP5). If you buy this you won't be disappointed unless you are looking for an extremely fine grain film, then go with T-MAX. But personally I prefer the texture and better dynamic range of Delta in comparison to T-MAX.

Definitely try this film, maybe your eyes are better than mine at telling the difference between this and it's cousin (HP5).
