Kodak - properly known as Kodak Eastman - was founded in America in 1888 and dominated the "Western" world of photography for the next 100 years, constantly in fierce rivalry with the Japanese Fuji. Similarly to Fuji the advent of digital photography at the turn of the century caused significant financial problems. A late attempt to win in the compact market was hit by the rise of mobile photography and bankruptcy followed in 2012. Fortunately the photography business has survived under the Kodak Alaris name - based in Hertfordshire, England - and they have delighted the analogue industry by pledging continued support for film production and the promise of bringing back old favourite emulsions.

Did not know what to expect from this but was teaching young people film photography as part as a documentary in a series about different types of photography.
Its clear they enjoyed trying to work a Olympus OM20 with no auto focus which was rather fun.
But the film is clean vibrant colours and great skin tones and very fine grain.
These samples are the photos I took at the end of filming to use the rest of the film.
Really lovely film, colours are nice and muted, and it has great exposure latitude. Quite expensive, but if its the look you're going for it can't be beat. Definitely worth trying at least once, and I'm looking forward to my next roll!
I sent over a digital image with the desired look I wanted and analogue wonderland suggested Kodak Portra and they were absolutely correct!
The film is beautiful, the tones and colours are exactly what I was looking for! Thank you! :)
My absolute favourite film stock, this is my go to for pretty much everything. Unsurprisingly it excels at portraits with beautiful skin tones and fine grain. But it also is fantastic as a landscape film, especially with interesting light and shadows. The exposure latitude is very forgiving.
