Nice film, shame about the price!

Make no mistake, this is a great film, but for me...a bit too expensive for everyday use..I see it as a film for a "special project" rather than daily shooting. I think if)when I shot it again, I'll try it in 120.

I was given a roll of Acros II by my friend Keith as a part of our regular film swaps as I have never used Fuji Acros before, neither the new one or the original. He reckoned I needed to see what the fuss was about. Well, I now know what the fuss is all about and I am happy to agree with the folk who love this film. It's a great 100 speed B&W film with a wide exposure latitude and great tonal range. Will I use it again? I probably will but I will have to save up a bit first. It's twice the price of my favourite Ilford HP5. That's my only gripe with it, it's too expensive for my meager budget.

Beautiful, but expensive!

Fine grain, charming tonality, all in all a very capable film stock in the right hands. I found myself with a much higher % of "keepers" on the two rolls I have shot, and while that is obviously a highly subjective measurement, I think it must count for something!

A clear negative - pun not intended - however is the price. Fuji Across II is certainly not a cheap film and is not something I would recommend to newcomers or those on a budget. Still, as an occasional treat or for those occasions where only the best will do, this film stock is definitely one to consider.

Beautiful fine-grained film

Very beautiful film, very fine grain. Prints very well in the darkroom (great tones and sharpness), more mixed results when scanning. Very expensive now though, so not a general-purpose film, more for special occasions.

Superb! Needs to be more readily available.

Shot at box speed this is an excellent all round film. Pushed to 400 this film excels at street photography and moody portraiture. Just take a look at some of the work of Ted Vieira on YouTube. You'll see what I mean. However, it's expensive and needs to be far more readily available.
