a grainy beast of a film

Too some experimenting to get used to this film. I tried developing in D76 for 10 min D76 for 12 min Atomal 49 for 6 min and caffenol for 13 min preferred the atomal and caffenol results. It is not a film I will return to but I can see that it has some artistic and creative values but not for me

Great contrast for dramatic blacks

I really enjoyed using this film. Half the pictures have a whiter stripe though which I think is fine and actually quite nice.

Very disappointing

This was gifted to me as a present so I appreciate my family member wasn't aware what to buy me. I think due to the marketing and design of this product it makes it's an easy buy for people who aren't familiar with analogue photography. The flashing design doesn't make up for the fact that this is a very basic film stock. Nothing special. The tones and shadows are very flat. The stock seems to be expired too.

MIght become a favourite

Street Candy ATM 400 arrived in my January Wonderbox subscription. I’m pretty sure I’d shot it before, but I got much more memorable results this time, having watched Analogue Wonderland’s YouTube exposition of the film. I loaded it in the Horizon Perfekt and took a trip to London’s Leake Street Arches, deserted during lockdown. Shooting at ISO 320 in the arches and 400 outdoors, the results were excellent - grain, light and shadow right where it was needed and striking contrast making for some really dramatic results. It’s worth noting that I used the yellow-green filter in the Horizon Perfekt and adjusted exposure by 1 stop to accommodate that. I’m really happy with the results and will definitely keep shooting with this film.

Good film worth trying

I have been waiting for a while to get this and because of the dull overcast weather I got out with it to give it a go.

I could not find a development time but other than on the Street Candy site that said to develop the same as HP5+ that's what I did and it was fine

I dont think it will be a go to film but there are times when I could see a use for it.
