Fomapan 200 Sheet Film

I have used this product in both 4x5 and 5x7 sheet film sized and although new to me< I have been quite impressed so far. I liked the tonality of the film in 120 format and this is carried through into sheet fil sizes as well. Easy to handle, and for me developed in Perceptol and shot at both ISO 100 and ISO 200 the resulting negatives have been good. It also appears to be so far a film that scans well. Having a couple of dark slides loaded with it when I go out is becoming a good plan as it appears to be versatile in that I can get a shorter exposure at ISO200 and when faced with a long exposure, can shoot at ISO 100 and allow the long reciprocity failure to allow a much longer exposure if I am into exposures beyond a few seconds. All in all I am pleased and continuing to put it through it's paces !

Great film

Recently after getting a replacement lens for my little Busch, I just needed to get some film. I couldn't get my normal FP4 as it was sold out, so looked at HP5 but also sold out! so I decided to give the Fomapan 200 a try and I have to say I was impressed with the film, i thought the film would be pretty thin and flimsy but no it was very rigid and easy to load into the holder and developing holders (sp445). The negatives themselves turned out well with plenty of sharpness and contrast!I have no major complaints about the film Fomapan 200 will now be a regular purchase.

Reliable and consistent - great value for money

This sheet film has quickly earned a permanent place in my kit bag. I use it in 5x4 and more recently 5x7 too. I rate it at 160 and usually develop it in Rodinal at 1+50 or HC110(1+63). As with most films it’s important to make the time and effort to work out what combination of ISO and development strategy work best for you.
