Special treat for a summer's day out
I was excited but also a bit daunted to get this in a mystery box and had to think how to attempt to do it justice. In returning to film I've been trying to stick to B&W but it felt like a worthwhile exception, though I was full of trepidation waiting for the results. I needn't have feared: this film seemed to stride with ease from shadows to highlights with gorgeous colour in between and bags of detail. I can feel the sunshine oozing out. Both bright and more subtle colours came out beautifully.
I got a few tiny spots of halation, around reflections off cars, but not distracting and I find them rather charming.
It's understandably not a cheap film but I suspect I may yet get tempted again for a special expedition, as long as I can give my shots the time such a classy film deserves.

Good Solid Film
I’m still quite new to film photography so I’m not certain how good of a judge I am but I enjoyed this film. Like other reviews have mentioned, it does handle sunlight very well but I would recommend using a slower shutter speed/wider aperture if you’re going to be taking photos in the shade. Pictures are high quality and detailed, not very grainy, and the colours look very nice. Not certain if I’d reach for it again but that’s just because I’m still trying to work out what films I like the best. Pretty good film, if a little pricey. (I got it from a mystery box though so I lucked out a bit there).

Great film
Such a good film for a beginner in 120 or for someone more experienced with a beautiful look to it. I love how colours come out and the quality of the details captured in the photos
I have started to shoot on cini film more and more and realy like it.
I also found it stays rolled up nicely in some of my older camers were some other films like to not spool up tightly.
As soon as this was in stock I ordered a roll in 120 and 135, as I'm a big fan of their BwXX film. I visited a Tannery that was due for imminent demolition and photographed inside and out using my Hasselblad medium format camera and Distagon 50mm lens. The film copes well under wide lighting conditions, and the colour rendition is excellent.
I would like to use this for portrait/model work in the studio, as I believe it would be similar to Kodak Portrait.
Like most colour film at the present, the price doesn't make it an every day purchase, but certainly worth using if you like trying new emulsions.

My favourite colour film
I think 50D is massively underrated, possibly because of its low ISO. But if you've got enough light available, I'd definitely recommend shooting a roll. The colours, clarity and contrast are lovely, and I am yet to find a colour film which pleases me like 50D does.
