Excellent for the beginner

I mentioned in another review about using the Ilford Simplicity Starter Pack to develop 2 rolls of Kentmere Pan 100 and I'm glad I chose to use it. I am a total novice at developing film and needed an easy method that didn't involve trying to remember hc110 lc29 or whatever other combination of letters and numbers are used for developing. The Ilford Simplicity Starter Pack is colour coded and simply labelled Developer, Stop, Fixer and Wetting agent, all you have to do is get the water to the right temperature, mix them with the right amount of water and keep your eye on the clock. Loading film onto the reels in a bag is the hard bit. If you are looking at giving home developing a try, start with the Ilford Simplicity Starter Pack. You can't go wrong.

Makes developing easy!

This is the perfect kit for a complete beginner. Used this to develop my first roll ever, and it turned out great! Easy to use. The only downside is that there are no instructions, everything is found online. A little paper booklet would be great.

Great way to dip your toe into developing

This wee kit is a great way to test out photography developing as it has all the chemicals required to develop a few rolls of 35mm rolls of film or one roll of 120 film. I love this kit it took me back to my school days as they used this brand of chemicals. I enjoyed using it as I was able to develop for the first time in years and it helped to decide to get to using film. It is a great taster kit and I would say a roll of b&W and this kit would make a great gift kit for people you know to let them see the magic of developing your own pictures
