Timeless Go-To Film Stock

I've used HP5 for a number of years and it never fails to impress. Versatile and great tonal range, perfect for a range of shooting conditions.

It's fine...

HP5 is an incredibly versitile film. It has a huge amount give for bad exposure and you can edit it forever and create the look you want. Personally though, this is it's downfall. I like a film with a personality and this is not that. HP5 is a blank canvas for you to do whatever you want with and for that, it's amazing.

This stuff is indestructible

I know everyone says its a great all round film, and it has been around forever, but I recently found a roll of this that I shot back in about 1996 been stored in my dads uninsulated loft all this time, and developed at normal times, and still came out with maybe not perfect, but good enough negatives for a 30 year old roll of film

Pushing it with HP5

Pushing it a stop to 800 lumps up the contrast and the grain but still quite sharp.

I kind of like this rough and ready look and now have a growing list of things I want to try it out on for yet another project.

Hat tip to the Wondies for another cracking set of scans.
