Better than Instax

Polaroid for me has the more natural look with better colour rendition than Instax. Also MUCH prefer the Polaroid vintage cameras. SX70 being the best with mine converted by Philanthropy in London to shoot 600.

Retro feel with improved colour and development

I have loved Polaroid for their quirkiness and ease of making them. Since the rebrand back to Polaroid ( I first bought impossible film many years ago!),the colours are more saturated and the development much improved (no more dry spots!)
Also fun to use for emulsion lifts, although I have not tried it yet with the new formula.

This is my first time using a Polaroid camera and film, and I’m really surprised at the difference compared to Instax film. The film is huge in comparison to Instax square and the photos are much warmer. Depends what style you’re after, Polaroid is considerably more expensive for a lot less shots.

Fun format

I bought a Polaroid camera so I could have some fun with my grandchildren, it worked it's magic on us all and we are now hooked on instant film. I wasn't too bothered about quality, it is what it is these days, but for the fun factor of seeing the image appear before a childs eyes made it worth the effort.

Can’t go wrong with 600

This film is for 600-types Polaroid which require the battery in the film. I have an autofocus 660 and supercolour 635CL (the latter of which, rather sadly, admittedly gets much less love). If you know how to use the film to its advantage, you’ll get some gorgeous colour rich photographs. The photos of my photos don’t do them justice.
That being said it’s a very nuanced and fussy film, I have gone through many a dud too - over/ underexposure tends to be my downfall. I say, as long as you’re having fun and capturing moments you love, it’s worth it. But if you’re taking Polaroids for that “perfect photo” then you better have deep pockets (no shade to analogue wonderland, they are wonderful & it’s not their fault at all. it’s just the general, wider RRP of the film which is a nightmare for 8 slides) alternatively, just stick to fujifilm instax’s which have slightly more reliable winners until you’re comfortable.
