Description

Kosmo Foto Mono is a fantastic-looking 35mm film taking inspiration from East European graphic art and the Space Race to bring some Soviet excitement to our cameras!

This 35mm film ISO 100 is a long-established emulsion from a European film producer that will deliver black and white images with a beautiful grainy finish. Well-suited to sunny days and studio lighting, this B&W Kosmo Foto Mono is a very promising first outing from the brand.

Kosmo Foto began life as blog (previously called Zorki Photo) in 2012 and quickly gained a big and loyal following thanks to the original and interesting content. Fast forward a few years and they are taking a front seat in the resurgence of analogue photography, producing their first film (Mono) - a rebrand of a less-well-known emulsion - in 2017. Sales have been strong and we hope to see much more of this brand in the coming years!

How Does the Bundled Developing Work?

To make your analogue adventures even easier (and cheaper!) we’ve implemented the option to pre-pay for your processing when you buy your film. This means that you choose your developing and scanning options on this page, via the little tick-box above, and add everything to basket for an immediate 10% saving on all processing costs.

Your film will be dispatched in line with our usual shipping times (full details here) and you will also get an email with instructions on sending the film back to the WonderLab (with tracked shipping - on us!)

When you have shot the film - whether that takes you a day, month or year - you generate the free tracked postage label by following the simple instructions from the email, and pop it in the post with a note of your original order number. We’ll do the rest!

So buy the bundle and relax into the shooting process, knowing that you’ll get to see the final results from your photography, without having to reach for your wallet again.

Happy Shooting!

We send all parcels via TRACKED service - free in the UK for orders of film over £50.

This means that when you buy your film from us you will be emailed a tracking link at dispatch, and will be able to follow your parcel’s journey all the way to safe arrival.

Please note that it is not a signed service so you won’t need to be at home to receive your film, and our letterbox-friendly boxes fit through the vast majority of European letterboxes!

You will have different shipping options and costs at checkout, depending on how quickly you need your film. Please refer to the Delivery Details page for full information

My new favourite b&w film

Rich, surprisingly warm tone with nice grain. Good contrast and a distinctive retro feel to the images. Tolerated lower light levels better than expected.

Kosmic

I wanted to try something different to my usual go to film, I was not sure what I was expecting from this film but I was pleasantly surprised. Its a nice film to work with, easy to shoot and develop. I shot the Kosmo mono 100 at box speed in my Canon EOS3000v with a 50mm prime lens, processed for 7min at 20deg using Ilford IFOSOL 3 developer.
This is now on my list of films to use again and again, next time it will be in my Olympus Trip 35 for some street photography.

Nice!

I'm a novice with film, and this was my first black and white roll. So I can't really compare it to anything, I got some nice shots though!

Solid B&W

I wasn't sure what to expect of this reskinned emulsion but found myself nicely surprised by it's moody look and quality, particularly regarding architecture and portraits.

A Delightful Surprise

I am by no means a professional and this was in fact the first roll of B&W film I've ever shot on my little Nikon Lite Touch, but I was utterly amazed by the contrast of the pictures that I shot. Mostly it was just out and about during lockdown in my local area but the photos make it feel like it's a different place. One of the favourite rolls I've ever shot and I'm keen to try again :)
