With very few reviews or tags on instagram I wasn’t sure what to expect, and I somehow shot it at iso 200 by mistake so wasn’t hoping for much but I was really surprised by the pics, very vintage look to them.

I am a big fan of Lomography Metropolis so when this film came out, offering a similar palette, I was keen to give it a go. Under natural light I found it fully lived up to expectations, with a great faded old feel to the photos. Indoors,with artificial light, it wasn't so good. Compared to Metropolis it offers something different but still within the same camp although it is actually very similar to Orwo Wolfen NC500. If you already have a roll enjoy but if not I wouldn't break my back trying to find one - NC500 will give a very similar look but with an extra 12 exposures and Metropolis is generally more available (and still my favourite colour film).

I've shot 3 rolls of this now along with some friends who have done the same and we've had reasonably inconsistent results. That's not necessarily a bad thing, afterall this isn't a filmstock to shoot a wedding or important event on, rather it's a fun/experimental film stock. We're all pretty sure (along with the rest of the internet) that this is the same film as Orwo NC500 as it looks and behaves almost identically. I liked it, but it isn't something I see myself shooting a lot of in future.
