Love this film

It may well be respooled cine film, much like Cinestill, and it may have the odd light leak here and there…

But for a far cheaper price, you really cannot go wrong with this for low light snaps - if you love the look of halation that is!

Underwhelmed after reading great reviews

There's every chance I used the wrong film for the environment here...I thought I'd use Candido 800 to shoot in a mid-lit birthday party and I really don't like how the images turned out. Just very yellow and blue with no warmth whatsoever.

To be fair the lighting was probably quite harsh 'white' light, so maybe this caused the issue but I wish I had used Ultramax in this situation!

Basically Cinestill 800T. Light leaks a touch worse?

I took a roll of this to Brussels to use at night (mostly with my favourite tungsten subject, metro stations!)
If you've ever shot 800T, then you will recognise the results you get from this film, it's basically the same thing.
The first couple of frames showed hefty light-leaks, which is a "feature" of 800T as well. Possibly worse with this film? Hard to say, or whether it's sample variation.
In any case, it's worth grabbing this if the other is out of stock.

Lovely affordable film!!

I often photograph productions of shows and this particular show was an adaptation of Little Women. Because of the material I decided film would give me the desired feel for production shots but along with a stage production comes an issue of super low lighting.

I had maybe a handful of shots out of 500 images that were underexposed. This is a really reliable and versatile film stock and I will absolutely be revisiting this for any other low light shoot.

I’m not sure if I was just making mistakes with this film but I found it a little hit/miss (mostly hits though thankfully!) especially when photographing indoors.
It picked up some beautiful colours but as other reviews have noted it is quite grainy.
Overall I would probably buy again considering its price point.
