I used Candido during my first time shooting at night and I was massively disappointed. It may well have been down to user error, but I got far better results with my 2nd night-time roll (Mira).
I did also use this stock during the day and indoors and quite liked the results.
If I didn't have much of a choice then I'd buy Candido 800 again, but I'll probably be avoiding it for a while yet until I'm over my disappointment.

Amazing for nighttime neon!
I bought this as I knew we would be in a seaside town in the evening and I wanted to play with the neon. There is a grain to the pictures that I love. Still new to photography but this made me fall in love with night time film and doing all the things people tell you that you can't do, ie still shooting on auto focus!
I was saving a roll of Candido 800 specifically for a trip to a grotto in France, and it performed perfectly in the incredibly low light conditions without any need for flash. I was really shocked and impressed by how sharp it remained, and the grain level was satisfying and not at all overwhelming.
The remaining shots were used in a heavy rainstorm, and an indoors dinner. And I was thrilled with the results from both. The quality of film is fantastic, particularly at the price.
I've already purchased additional rolls, and can't wait to use them as daylight hours start reducing.
Have been in love with the look and feel of Candido since I shot my first roll of 200 - so was keen to see how 800 performed and if it maintained the same feel.
Simple answer - it smashed all my expectations.
One of the most consistent film I’ve shot with to date, artfully handling indoor and outdoor shots with the same manner. Highly recommended.

Good
My first try with 800 film and at night. I like the grainy look and the halation, however I know these are quite dark and to really test it I'd need to use it in different lighting. But overall it is good in the dark and especially if you like cine colours and grain.
