I love Candido. I love the colours which almost have a cinematic feel. The colours are rich and for low light photography I think this rivals Cinestill easily.

Excellent film even in daylight and the late evening although it can require a little warming at times. Be aware that they are transfusion to a remjet free source which may mean no more red halations.

This is really great alternative to CineStill 800T and yields very similar results, which is not surprising as they are both based on Kodak Vision3 500T filmstock. However, it is slightly cheaper, than CineStill 800T. Given that the high-ISO and tungsten colour-balance it is perfect for street-shots after dark, indoor photos, and gigs. However, it is also perfectly useable in daylight conditions, just note that your photos will obviously have blue cast. When shot in low-light expect moderate grain, however in daylight conditions the grain is very well controlled and similar to a 400 speed film.

Has a nice grit to the colours without becoming washed out. Obviously fantastic for low light and nighttime shots, but also love the halation of sunlight hitting an object.

It's a nice film, It does the job, it's alright in low light conditions, the noise is a bit too heavy. I definitely wouldn't push this film but in the end, it does the job. Colours are nice as well.

I previously gave this film 4/5 due to the unpredictable halation.

5/5 - love the new, clean look.

I bought it again to shoot around Christmas, this time expecting the halation. Much to my surprise, the shots came back really clean-looking. I wish I’d known before - some pictures were specifically taken with halation in mind, but I much prefer the new look. I can see online that Candido are now respooling the new AHU Kodak Vision3 500T, so no more remjet layer removal and halation. It’s a personal preference, but I love the new look.

Fantastic for low-light, indoor shots etc. around the winter months. Just bare in mind you won’t get that glowy look around lights if it’s the new stock. Might be worth rating it at ISO 500 too.

Bought this because I really miss Aurora 800, and wanted to give night photography a go. Some shots came out super grainy, but I think that's because i was firing at quite high shutter speeds. Slowed down to bulb and you get really decent fine grain, and it performs beautifully during overcast days too. There are so few 800 speed colour films out there, especially at this price. Definitely recommend giving Candido a go.

I really enjoy the results shooting with Candido 800 in the daytime when the light is softer.

Really pleased with the results of this film, perfect for night use or during the day if you overexpose by a stop.

I love Candido 800 so much. It's versatile and trustworthy. I lost about 1/3 of this roll - my camera decided to sabotage me and the backdoor latch broke right in the middle of the roll, but after taping it all back together Candido carried on performing amazingly in very low light.

Light leaks in sample shots will be due to aforementioned camera back door, but they ended up working and adding wonderfully to the atmosphere of the Halloween event we were at.

I used Candido during my first time shooting at night and I was massively disappointed. It may well have been down to user error, but I got far better results with my 2nd night-time roll (Mira).

I did also use this stock during the day and indoors and quite liked the results.

If I didn't have much of a choice then I'd buy Candido 800 again, but I'll probably be avoiding it for a while yet until I'm over my disappointment.

I bought this as I knew we would be in a seaside town in the evening and I wanted to play with the neon. There is a grain to the pictures that I love. Still new to photography but this made me fall in love with night time film and doing all the things people tell you that you can't do, ie still shooting on auto focus!

I was saving a roll of Candido 800 specifically for a trip to a grotto in France, and it performed perfectly in the incredibly low light conditions without any need for flash. I was really shocked and impressed by how sharp it remained, and the grain level was satisfying and not at all overwhelming.

The remaining shots were used in a heavy rainstorm, and an indoors dinner. And I was thrilled with the results from both. The quality of film is fantastic, particularly at the price.

I've already purchased additional rolls, and can't wait to use them as daylight hours start reducing.
