Help! We're hiring: Freelance Video Editor & Videographer

By Paul McKay

We’re on the lookout for a talented freelance video editor. Our amazing Amy has been creating videos, blogs, social competitions, and is now organising The Film Photowalk, and she needs some help!

We’re after someone who is a fab video editor and also knows their way around a camera (both analogue as well as the digital video kind) to help bring film to life 🎞️ for our amazing community through both long and short-form YouTube videos, plus video ads for our paid social channels.

About the gig:

  • 2 days per week to start, with the opportunity to expand for the right person
  • Paid work (of course!) - with a day rate depending on experience and skills
  • Editing YouTube content (think how-to’s, tips and tricks, events and product stories)
  • Creating thumb-stopping video ads for paid social (Facebook, Instagram, you know the drill)
  • Shooting video occasionally - especially helpful if you’re local to High Wycombe/Loudwater, but not required!
  • Bonus points if you can also create static ads and imagery for social media and email/web - we use Canva for most of our static editing - again not required!

About you:

  • You’ll have experience editing video for both organic content and paid ads
  • You know how to make content engaging and watchable, with a strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and what grabs attention on different channels
  • You can shoot video (nothing fancy, just with a mirrorless, DSLR or even phone is fine!)
  • You’re organised, self-motivated, and able to work to deadlines
  • You’re nice! (sounds lame we know, but we really like to get along with the people we work with!)
  • You might be a freelancer looking to grow, or a student after a creative summer role - regardless, there’s potential for this to turn into something more permanent for the right person

We’re a small, passionate team united by something we love. If you geek out over getting your scans back, know your way around Premiere (or your similar tool of choice), and want to help us share our love of film photography with the world, then we’d really like to hear from you.

Interested?

Fill in the short form here - we'll be in touch very soon

Cheers!
