An interesting B&W film be careful as flecking may occur as part of the reversal process.
Needs specialist development ( I used PolyFilms) so may limit your options.

Can give great results and worth an experiment

It's difficult to process well. Having said that I had good results from lab processed Adox Scala 50 BW reversal, so I think it's the processing not the film. Scanned by taking a digital photo on a camera. Some flecks of emulsion apparent on some photos, making them look like 100 years old.

I got this film specifically for a project I am doing that requires black-and-white slides. I also got the chemicals to learn how to develop this type of film and keep costs down. It's great fun!

It is unforgiving (like a lot of slide films). Get it right in camera or the highlights and shadows are gone. I find this film is closer to ISO 64 as well.

Fomapan tones are lovely.... and cheap!

I quite like this film. The results came out rather smoky and gothic. If that's your thing, then I recommend then.

Since my role came out quite dark and grey, photos felt like haunted and spooky. I like that!

Excellent black and white film

Very easy to use --processing is straightforward with a Foma reversal kit.
Sample photos below taken with a Nikon F3.
I also took photos with a Wray Stereo Graphic and mounted the slides for projection.

This was my first time using a slide film and honestly I am shocked with how clear these shots came out. I took this film with me to a protest on a rainy day and still was able to get low-grain clear shots with good shading.

I'm putting this film on my favourites list.

Fomapan R100 is often overlooked compared to the new Adox Scala film when looking for a suitable b&w slide film, but it shouldn't!

Designed specifically as a cine-reversal film by Foma Bohemia, this film contains a special anti-halation masking layer within the emulsion which prevents light-scattering and makes for super-sharp slides.
Contrast is moderate to high, and the crystal clear base makes projecting this film a joy.

As with all b&w slide films exposure is more critical than with normal b&w negative films, so double check your exposure meter.
This can be developed at home using Foma's special reversal kit.....or you can send it to SilverPan ;)

Depending on how you work, you will either love or hate this film. I love it for the wonderful fine images I get when developing at home. Thats the catch, the special chemicals used in this make it a real pain to get developed or developed on your own.

1 note - This film is brutally unforgiving with its dynamic range. Get it right in camera or else.

black and white slide film is a bit of a lost art form so its nice to see some still being sold, the only downside is that for a positive it requires a very specific developing process that not a lot of labs will do! thankfully there are labs that will do it so you will be able to get this developed just maybe at a higher cost than usual
