Kodak - properly known as Kodak Eastman - was founded in America in 1888 and dominated the "Western" world of photography for the next 100 years, constantly in fierce rivalry with the Japanese Fuji. Similarly to Fuji the advent of digital photography at the turn of the century caused significant financial problems. A late attempt to win in the compact market was hit by the rise of mobile photography and bankruptcy followed in 2012. Fortunately the photography business has survived under the Kodak Alaris name - based in Hertfordshire, England - and they have delighted the analogue industry by pledging continued support for film production and the promise of bringing back old favourite emulsions.

Fantastic film
Disclaimer: The sample images were shot on my Voigtländer Vito B, which I am appalling at remembering to refocus. So any softness issues in my sample shots are down to me, not the film stock (similar in regards to light leaks).
All of that said, this is a fantastic film. You know that you'll have quality images with beautiful colours. Can't go wrong, fantastic all-rounder or film for beginners.

Fantastic images from this under rated film stock
After taken a few rolls of this film stock on holiday with me, I decided to stock up for my next trip away. Very reliable and shots well in most conditions. As of the conditionings I was shooting, in I was able over expose by 1 stop with no issues.
Images shot on Canon eos3 & Canon 50mm lens

One of Kodak's best colour films
I always take a few rolls of this with me on holiday due to it's tolerance for high temperatures and sunny-weather ISO but I've started using it at home in a point and shoot camera because I think the colours it produces are beautiful.
For such an amazing film it always seems to be available at a great price too so I'd highly recommend it if yo haven't tried it, it may be your new favourite!
