Description

Try out what Mr Negative dubs "The most versatile film ever!" - Silver Screen Negative 35mm Film. Inspired by the iconic aesthetic of classic films from the 70s, 80s, and 90s, such as the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, this film is the culmination of a quest to capture that timeless look.

This versatile daylight balanced film allows you to create great results when shooting between ISO 200-400 and reacts well to post-production editing. Silver Screen Negative has a remjet layer, so you won't get the glowing effect of halation.

Note: Mr Negative films do not have an expiry date on the box or canister, so if you're not looking to shoot soon after purchasing, please store in the fridge to ensure optimum performance.

Lovely film, very strong colours.

I enjoyed using this film. The colours that came out were bold and high saturated which was really nice. Quite pricey and also not having the remjet removed does come with additional costs at the lab which is frustrating.

Excellent film

Good resilient film, unfortunately shot with my camera on the wrong settings but still ended up with some okay shots

Really liked this film

I've had a bit of bad luck with Mr Negative films, either through my own amateur skill set, my camera chewing film up or struggling with what works best where but this film has come out like a dream!

Using an Olympus AF-10 super on a cute little walk down a canal in a nice sunny winters day in the Chilterns really worked for me and it probably is the best way to use it

I love it

It has such 70s vibe, while still being quite modern. The colours are nicely saturated, being both bright and washed up. Decent price, too. Would buy it again.

Fantastic colours and sharpness

First the downside - because its an ECN-2 film the processing isn't quick, I got my scans today having posted the film 18 days ago. To be fair the timescale AW quotes is 3 weeks.
But is it worth the wait? 100% yes. I'm so pleased with the pictures especially where the subjects were trees, water, animals etc. The greens have a richness that I've rarely seen with other films, and the colours are generally vibrant.
Sharpness is superb, with not much grain, and I'm looking forward to using this with the Pentax 17. I'm sure the half frame won't be a detriment.
Overall this is a great film if you aren't in a hurry for your pictures.
