I've held off on writing a review for Revolog Volvox because I didn't want the sole review here to be a really negative one, but nobody has written a positive review so maybe everyone else is in the same situation - and if not, hopefully this will encourage someone who likes it to post a more positive review!
I had such high hopes for Revolog Volvox, I shot two rolls on two consecutive days without doing a test roll because I was sure I'd love it as I do Revolog's other similar rolls. But the effect is too overwhelming and jarring. The largest of the "spots" are too large, and nine times out of ten they managed to completely obscure faces in any shots that had a focus on people in them.
The redeeming factor is, if converted to black and white, it can work as a snow effect film. But there are cheaper and more effective black and white film stocks designed specifically for that which I would purchase instead.
The only use I can see for it in its original form would be surreal art images.
