I bought two of these do not x ray bags as I travel frequently. They help enormously by presenting your films to the airport staff in a professional package. Easy to unzip to look inside. Of course you can’t legislate for the airport security staff’s knowledge of films. Hand searches are accepted more in the new CT scanners.

Its a great little bag .its great for storage and for carrying your films.im going on holiday shortly so I can see what the airport security do with it. the bag is clearly marked do no xray so I'm hoping they honor my request not to put it through the matchine.i will let you all know what happened when I get back.im glad that a company has taken film photographers needs into consideration with the manufacturer of this vital piece of kit.

Helpful but could definitely be tweaked
Using this was definitely helpful in making it faster and easier to find the film in my bag and hand it over to be checked. I had no issues with security but this is expected when flying around Europe. Previously in Central and South America I’ve struggled to communicate with airport staff (armed with google translate and my basic Spanish skills) so having the part which has the message in various languages would be more helpful if it was easier to read. The text size is small and at times hard to read because of the black font and clear plastic wallet. Nevertheless, I’m going to keep using this :)

Possibly not necessary but good to have anyway
I used this coming back through Bristol airport. I got the impression that they would have hand-checked my film anyway, if asked. It was useful though to keep my exposed rolls together and stopped them rattling around corners of my bags
