Washi F is a special "Fluorographic" medical X-Ray film that is mainly used in Eastern countries for diagnosing lung diseases.
It combines the nice aesthetic of X-Ray films with the physical property of classic camera film. As there is no anti-halation layer it gives a very strong diffusion effect and high grain.

Very nice results
I used this on my Kodak H35 in the dead of winter in London, so the results were a lot of very moody, atmospheric photos. I took a few shots in more sunny conditions as well but I think this film shines in more overcast conditions (complementing the grain) for that dramatic effect.

Amazing contrast
A bit fiddly, but the ones that came out came out REALLY good. Love the heavy contrast and the grain, have bought another roll so I can really experiment.
Truthfully I wasn’t expecting much from Washi F but to say I’m pleasantly surprised is an understatement.
I shot in bright dappled sunlight and got near infrared images. I shot at box speed and developed in Rodinal at 1:25 for 9 mins.
I definitely recommend giving it a go.

Very contrasty, a bit edgy and on the unpredictable side.
