Never let me down

What can I say, this just does the job. Been using Ilfosol 3 for a year or so now, on all sorts of films (from 50 to 400 ISO) and even after sitting for a few months and turning more or less orange, I still got useable negatives.

I’ve not noticed much (any?) difference between diluting 1+9 or 1+14, so I stick with the latter to make it go further. Just nice and easy and simple.

Easy to use developer

This is an easy to use developer. Mix it with water according to the instructions as it is a concentrate and use as required. Great quality results. I used ilford hp5 and fomopan 400 on these photos

Good results and lasts

Got good results in combination with Kentmere 400. Was still developing fine after six months in a plastic screw top bottle. Just compress the bottle to squeeze the air out after each use.

Ilford Ilsofol 3 developer

I first used this developer when it came as part of the Ilford Starter Kit.
As a first time home developer I was very pleased with the results with HP5.
I have every confidence in it so I will be sticking with it.
These sample shots are Kodak Tri-x.They were home scanned on a low res.Kodak Slide n Scan.(14 mp) and no post editing. If professionally scanned they would look better, but for my own use I think they look o.k.
