simple, safe and affordable!

So I have a family member who is a UK airport security worker and says that this would be fine in his airport, that it's easy and acceptable and will cause no issue. I got him to test it and from what I can tell, he says it's great. Please bare in mind, this is a UK airport and that he advises that you always be as transparent with security staff. Explain what it is that you have, why it should be hand checked and the reasons it could be damaged if it was scanned. Always look at the labels too because some airport scanners are film safe and have a little logo on them to say if they are or are not.

This bag is sturdy! It has seen multiple airport trips and photography expeditions recently. I have taken it through 4 airport scanners and not seen any noticeable fogging on the films it held. Including some 800 CineStill left in by mistake. I haven’t used it in one of the new CT scanners yet.

Review based on experience in the details

I can’t verify whether this will protect your film but I can share my experience travelling with it. I’ve taken the bag on a few trips now and it hasn’t raised any concerns from being in my hand luggage. I always ask for a hand check and so far that hasn’t been a problem, the bag is my backup in case I have to put my films through. I do use the bag now though to store my films when travelling, just in case I forget. The quality of the bag is great so it’s a nice to keep them in there. My advice is to keep your films in a clear bag and ask for a hand check, keep the x-ray bag handy in case they say no and just pop the clear bag straight into the x-ray bag, put it in your hand luggage and see what happens 👍

Well made pouch

The pouch is sturdily made, with a Velcro fastening for the film part. There’s a net zip compartment too which is useful for other things.
My films survived a recent holiday to Tenerife using the pouch, although I was stopped both ways by airport security who seemed interested in what I was carrying. Whether it was the pouch they wouldn’t say!
Happy with the purchase.
