You've heard of a golden retriever, well this tool is much more useful!¿

The AP film retriever works, I don't know how, but it does. After several failed attempts I decided to look at the video on the Analogue Wonderland site. This shows a slightly different looking device, but as they say, the principle is the same. I managed to retrieve 3 films in 5 minutes. I would have been quicker but the third one was damaged, not by the retriever, but by the old camera I was trying out. If you need to retrieve a 35mm film from it's canister this is the tool. Golden retrievers don't work!

Works well

A little fiddly to put the tongues in the canister, but once done the retriever is easy to use. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow. I have used others in the past and they don't work nearly as well. Highly recommend.

Easy

Makes retrieving the leader so easy, good for processing at home.

Saved my bacon & my wallet

My Olympus MJUII decided to roll the leader back into the canister on some Lomochrome purple so thought I would invest and I'm all kinds of glad I did. The method is simple when following the video on site so thanks so much for that. A great little tool worth buying.

My Favourite Gadget!

If you want to develop your own film, you're going to need either a cannister opener or this little beauty. It takes a little getting used to, but it does exactly what it says. It retrieves your film. It is an essential item in your developing kit.
