Interesting film!

Got some cool results, can't wait to experiment more. As the name suggests, it is high contrast, and looks great.

Blown away

The names of this film suggested in was likely to be some sort of less well known Kodak stock. It sounded a little different and thinking it might work for a particular project I had in mind, I ordered. Unsure of what to expect, did did something I don't usually... I shot the whole roll in around an hour as the light was about what I had hoped for. Wanted to process the film myself, but just couldn't find enough information, so I sent it back to the Wonderlab. The returned negatives had a different look when I opened the pack. Slightly thin and clear looking, but I could already see they also showed enormous contrast.

Although I couldn't find any scan presets that might have been even close to this film, once scanned I was very impressed. This isn't a do anything film, it will need specific conditions. If the light is sufficient, it is completely wacky. Watch for the highlights, it will be easy to blow them out completely, but that might also suit the effect you'd be looking for with this film. If you want shadow detail, you'll need something else. I think FPP Eastman 2369 is great fun for abstract work. If you want contrast, you can go oput in sunlight and go wild with this emulsion.

I was so pleased with this film, the project I had in mind might actually turn into a print display. I have only awarded 4 stars instead of 5 for 2369 as it is quite expensive for a film that won't suit many applications, would be a real challenge for beginners and lacks supporting information. All that said, I'll be ordering more of this, I can see real potential.
