Description
Ilford Delta 100 is a modern emulsion from Ilford. This is the daylight-rated variant of their professional Delta range - created with finer grain to provide sharp black and white images with excellent contrast.
While this means the 35mm film is slightly less forgiving of wide exposure latitudes, the professional results when you nail the exposure will blow you away!
Ilford was founded in 1879 in the English town of the same name. They are B&W royalty in the photography industry thanks to their 140-year heritage and their support for photographers with chemicals and development as well as film. In the mid-20th Century they produced several well-regarded camera lines (including one given to Princess Elizabeth that was later stolen!) but today they are focused on producing the best films and development processes that they can.

I prefer Fuji Acros 100ii to Ilford Delta 100, HOWEVER...Delta Paris really really well with a red filter, creating those dramatic skies. (Across does just fine too, but Delta seems to have that edge). I find the Delta maintains detail really well when paired with a red filter, even when marginally under exposed.

Very fine grain, giving it almost like a digital look, personally, love the results. Unfortunately the film broke off from the canister inside my camera at the end of the roll, which means I lost some shots due to exposure. 5 stars for image quality though

Great in Rodinal!!!
This particular photo was taken from a 35mm negative developed in Rodinal at 1:50. I'm amazed that even a small 35mm negative can be so fine grained and well toned. Buy yourself a roll and experiment!
