first time use

I've been using Ilfosol 3 since getting back into home developing, but it does go off quicker than I can use a bottle. My f-in-law suggested ID11, as it was and still is his go to developer. I mixed up the first batch over the weekend and developed a roll of 120 HP4+ 125ASA.
I was a bit nervous about the waterness compared to Ilfosol, particularly diluted 1+1, but it all worked fine and I was impressed with the results. There is good clarity and contrast in the negatives and so much less 'guff' left on the negatives as well. Will be using it again and buying a couple of boxes given that they have an indefinite shelf life.

Great Developer

My first time using a developer other than DF96 monobath. So much easier than I expected and really enjoyable. Also graduated from a Lab box to a Patterson 5 reel tank. The whole process was quick & the results were great. The cost is so good too.

Great developer

Versatile developer for most films. I particularly like it for getting the most out of HP5 pushed to the limit.

The Sherman tank of developers

ID 11 is a developer every photographer should at least have on their shelf ready to use, if they aren't using it already, it gives great contrast, is quite happy to play along if you want to play with times a bit.

My Favourite Developer

This is hands-down my favourite developer. It works with any film giving bright, contrasty negatives and it allows you to push-process your Agent Shadow and other fast films to insanely fast levels. It's also at a good price and keeps my film-habit affordable.
My usual photography process involves KosmoFoto Agent Shadow pushed to 800 ISO (I live in Scotland) shot in my Dynax 404si and developed in ID-11. The results are great.
