About Kodak

Kodak - properly known as Kodak Eastman - was founded in America in 1888 and dominated the "Western" world of photography for the next 100 years, constantly in fierce rivalry with the Japanese Fuji. Similarly to Fuji the advent of digital photography at the turn of the century caused significant financial problems. A late attempt to win in the compact market was hit by the rise of mobile photography and bankruptcy followed in 2012.

Fortunately the photography business has survived under the Kodak Alaris name - based in Hertfordshire, England - and they have delighted the analogue industry by pledging continued support for film production and the promise of bringing back old favourite emulsions.

So when you're ready to buy Kodak Colorplus then grab some rolls and start shooting!

A great alternative to Gold and Ultramax

For anyone, like me, who enjoys cheap film stocks and isn't looking to be too experimental all the time, Kodak ColorPlus is a great choice.

Most of the time, I use Gold if I want a little warmth and ISO200, and Ultramax for other general purpose colour photography. ColorPlus is a close third, if I ever fancy something different.

It will give you bold colours in a variety of natural lighting, and solid contrast for punchy images. It is less "subtle" than other choices, if that's what you're after.

Perfect for price

First time using this in my SLR having only used it in a point and shoot. Really impressed with how it performed even in darker conditions. For the price this will be my go to colour film. Can’t fault it especially for price

Great Colour Film

Kodak ColorPlus does the job every single time for me. The bargain bucket colour film is, in my humble opinion, the greatest colour film ever made. ColorPlus punches way above it's position as the cheapest colour film on the Kodak roster.
