Kodak - properly known as Kodak Eastman - was founded in America in 1888 and dominated the "Western" world of photography for the next 100 years, constantly in fierce rivalry with the Japanese Fuji. Similarly to Fuji the advent of digital photography at the turn of the century caused significant financial problems. A late attempt to win in the compact market was hit by the rise of mobile photography and bankruptcy followed in 2012.
Fortunately the photography business has survived under the Kodak Alaris name - based in Hertfordshire, England - and they have delighted the analogue industry by pledging continued support for film production and the promise of bringing back old favourite emulsions.
Tried this film for a second time on a cold but sunny winters day in Cornwall. Received stunning warm colours. Can’t wait to use it again in the summer.

Excellent warm tones - perfect for travel photography
Really pleased with the quality - at 200 ISO there's still a lovely grain. The warm gold tones are subtle to not look too 'filtered'. For travel photography - it's excellent. I use this on a 2000s compact camera, and a vintage 1950s camera. Both outcomes were excellent!

Good value colour film photography for all
Kodak Gold 200 continues to be my "go to" for affordable 35mm colour negative film. It's versatile in many situations, particularly for brighter/sunny conditions - making it well suited as a reliable, everyday/travel photography film stock, without worrying too much about the cost!
Colours are true to life with some warmth as you would expect from Kodak film, with pleasing contrast when exposed correctly. However, in low light, or underexposed situations, colours can be slightly muddy, and/or too contrasty.
