Lomography Purple 35mm got a refreshed formula for 2019 and is still one of the craziest 35mm emulsions on the market today!
Beautiful, bizarre, and very definitely purple - Lomography have created a film that will transport viewers of your photography into an alternative universe with surprising shades, colour shifts, and purple magic.
Please note that this is the 'Petillant' edition. In Lomography's words: depending on your scanning setup, you may see some tiny black dots appear in the lighter parts of your photo
Lomography has been at the forefront of the analogue revolution for decades. Starting in 1992 with some Viennese students falling in love with the aesthetic of a particular Soviet camera (the iconic LC-A) - they founded a movement and a company that would introduce a new generation to the joys of plastic cameras and experimental film. Periodically innovating new cameras for existing formats - and sometimes bringing back formats specially for their cameras! - they are vibrant and creative

I exposed at ISO 200 and had some fun results with pronounced colour shifts, creating some dreamy scenes; I'd definitely use Lomo purple again for some more experimental creative work!

Amazing!!
I have NEVER been so excited to try out a film before, but as soon as I saw this I just had to purchase it. The first roll was just an experiment to see what it works well with. I have another 2 rolls now I have a better understanding. Some of the colours have come out so bright and vivid, id tried it at sunrise, the coast, up a mountain and in village to try get an understanding. The colours of the green from the mountain turn out so stunning. It wasn't so brilliant at sunrise. These were taken on my kodak half frame as my others had film in already, so i was unable to control the ISO, but otherwise very happy with this, defiantly worth a try

This film is not your standard at all. As the description says, greens become purple, blues become green, and it's freeing to see a shot and not know at all how it's going to come out. I had so much fun with this, my first time using it, and I cannot wait to buy more.
The results are fun, but more pronounced and aesthetically pleasing where there's more nature, and nice sunny weather which limits it's use.
Still fun to play around with though 😉

A beautiful and interesting film
It's great with foliage, especially with greens which turn purple, but also try it with yellow flowers as they go a lovely hot pink.
Blue skies look a bit turquoise.
Skin tones look a bit strange.
With neutral colours in the scene, this film can give a pinkish tinge, like the York Minster picture included here.
The contrast of this film is quite soft so it could be good to use it in a camera with a contrasty lens for a bit more punch.
With the right subject on a good day this film can produce beautiful and unusual pictures, so I'll definitely be using it again.
