I've a backlog of old uncut reels from my early days of shooting film, and I've also been reorganising all my negatives and needing to trim down strips that have blanks or don't quite fit.
As a beginner to any sort of darkroom handling, I was worried about messing things up, but this cutter is sturdy and clean, as well as uncomplicated.
It has rubber feet too, which is handy, as I don't own a light source, but it means I can use the light on my iPad to help with lining up frames where I want for an accurate cut every time. Bonus points for not scratching any of my negatives so far.
In terms of price: Given other cutters on the market, I'd say this is a worthwhile investment given the build quality. Whilst the rubber O rings may degrade over time, it's something that is easily replaceable.
