Incredible Quality

Great personality, very easy to shoot with, and some great results - even on my very basic Ilford Sprite I got some excellent shots. It came out with a nice cool tone to it but handles the complexity of colour in the pictures very well. It wasn't the simplest to get developed due to the need for ECN2 processing but the results are definitely worth the extra time and attention needed. I would love to try this out on a better camera and really see what it can do if it's not limited by the capabilities of a sub-£50 point-and-click.

My New Go To

Very sharp film with beautiful tones. Definitely needs a warming filter in some lighting, I shot it without one, and it's come out great under some indoor lighting, but a bit cold under others. Very natural colour when the lighting is right. I shot it on 400 ISO and developed as normal, and I like this effect but I had a few underexposed shots on the roll so be careful with the metering.
Since my local lab has a two day turn around on ECN-2 this might displace Ultramax as my go to, sorry Ultramax.

Cinematic convert!

This was my first time using a cinematic film, and I was so impressed by the results. My previous attempts of nighttime street photography were not great, but going out with this film I was able to capture scenes exactly as I wanted. With the ECN-2 process there will be a wait when sending it off to lab, but it is so worth it. I shot at about 260/270 ISO (hard to tell on my camera but it was as close to 250 I could get).

Cinematic!

Developed and scanned myself and shot with an 85b warming filter at 250, its honestly a work of art. Grain is really surprisingly small for a higher ISO film.

The only film I want to shoot.

Silbersalz 500T is a beautiful film stock - coupled with Silbersalz's developing and scanning methods, you get some incredibly high quality images with amazing tonality and colour.

It can handle under and over exposure like a champ and renders colours in such a unique way. I'm always more inclined to lean towards the "cinematic" films stocks but this is the quintessential film for me.
