Fixed with Eco

I am a little bothered by the idea of putting toxic substances into the environment (although we never gave it a thought back in the day). So I am experimenting with Caffenol as well as chemical developers. Eco Zonefix seemed like a good idea in the Caffenol process, but I have also used it with Atomal. It was easy to mix, following the clear instructions. So far it has stored well and simply does the job. There were certainly no strong odours during mixing, or in use. I'll probably use it again. The sample image was HP5 developed in Atomal 40 and fixed with Eco Zonefix.

Cheap and effective

I've been using this in conjunction with the 510 Pyro developer and it's been performing very well. It's cheap, it's easy to mix, and it has very good durability both in powder form and working solution - just make sure you store it with as little air in the bottle as possible. Fixing times can vary, with higher ISO films taking longer, although it is well within the 2-5 minutes range generally suggested.

Essential for fixing 510 Pyro

I bought it so that I could use it with 510 Pyro and it works. It has a smell but not as sickly as Ilford Rapid Fixer.

Fixer that doesn’t cost the earth

This fixer works beautifully with 510 pyro as it is an alkaline fixer so won’t remove the stainer. It’s also very economical, the powder has a great shelf life and it clears film well. I love that it doesn’t contain lots of dangerous or environmentally damaging ingredients too. Highly recommend this and 510 pyro.
