Budget Friendly Alternative to Portra 400

A clean film with great colours! I think the halation is pretty pleasing! 400 ISO makes it very versatile so I will definitely be buying again.

Love it! Need to stock up on these.

This will be my new go to film. It holds up really well, is a great price and the images look great.

Great Colours!

I'm not sure if I'm just struggling to use it right, but I'm really not sure what conditions this film wants to be used in at all? Some of them were really quite wonderful shots, but others had a few red splotches on them, especially in darker conditions. But it could very well have been me! The photos that did turn out quite good were stunning in their colours at the very least, reds in particular were gorgeous all throughout the roll.

A welcome surprise!

Got some of this film on a whim and a recommendation - I'm really impressed with the results. Punchy colours, especially red and green, and some lovely effects where there's glare from something shiny (totally intended of course!)

Smile...You're On Candido Camera

Wandering about alternatives to Portra? This is definitely worth a look if you lean towards a poetic aesthetic, rather than a more straight up documentary approach. More things for what else they are, rather than things for what they are. Just the thing for a wander (and wonder!) around the Natural History Museum just before Christmas. Why not pop some in your bag?
