Bold colours

I quite like the vivid colours, especially reds. I will need to try some more. I like the light leaks too, they add to the colourful emulsion.

I was blown away

After seeing others post their photos shot on phoenix I didn't have high hopes. But after shooting my own roll (at box speed) and getting AW to develop it I was blown away at how good the images look. I'm still not the biggest fan of the colours but when it comes to sharpness and detail I'm amazed.

Ok

I used this film my Mamiya camera I use all the time but for some reason when I used this film only three frames came out and the camera has no issues as I have used it a lot before and after and no issues like this. But it still came out really nice and I like how the colours look.

The Phoenix Goes Large

Having been exploring with Phoenix for more than a year, and thoroughly enjoying all the little creative sparks it offered, I was pretty stoked at the prospect of a 120 version! The larger film size definitely helps with finer grain and smoother tones, much as I love its quirks in 35mm . Phoenix wasn't ever the finest grain emulsion around, but then there's always Ektar or Portra for that. The 120 Phoenix is a welcome addition to any photographer's toolbox. It's the scruffy ass Punk kid to Portra's well groomed straight -A student, and all the better for it.
