Umi is one of the newest members of FilmNeverDie's IRO (色 / Iro meaning colour in Japanese) series film. Umi means Sea in Japanese, pairs perfect with our night or low light optimised 800 iso speed colour film.

Out with the external plastic housing, this new designed feature Street Candy inspired paper based packaging. The packaging is specially designed by the talented graphic designer Edmund Li aka @edmund, who is an analogue enthusiast from Malaysia. We hope you like it as much we do!

These rolls are also 36 exposure. Plus you can process with c41! At the moment they are all hand crafted meaning we only have very low quantify to start, they are also slightly experimental, meaning these first few batch might be susceptible to tiny light leaks (the beauty of hand made).

Really enjoyed the Umi 800, it was more of a challenge to shoot street with in a fun and unexpected way - save this beauty for low light and night shooting to make the most of it. Perfect for low light, this high speed film pulls out some great tones.

It's just like other 800 iso tungsten films. If you shoot during day, it will be blue-y. Great speed and handles night photography perfectly. Pretty much on the same level as these other high iso colour films. Plus, cute packaging. I wish it could be restocked.

Great low light, quick speed film

Perfect for capturing swift moments in low light. The grain is a bit more prominent than you might get with a CineStill 800, but it's an interesting one to experiment with. t
