Results were a good bit darker than I expected from 200 iso and using it with a fairly basic camera gave little to no background detail or range in poor/low light. In reality I should have used it in better daylight or with fill in flash but I shall persevere and try another roll next Christmas when hopefully we get some snow and better lighting conditions🙂
I loaded a roll of Revolog SnoVlox when the weather report predicted snowy weather.... and it did for a few hours only! But it settled long enough to grab a few shots. I love the randomness of this. I was using the new Pentax 17, so any photos resulting were unpredictable to me, and the film effect was certainly so! What fun! When the effect worked - it was wonderful.... but the resulting snow in a well-lit living room was not so! But a few shots of a Christmas snowman ornament on a stool using torches to light it led to one really pleasing shot! Yaaaay!
It was supposed to be a 36-roll exposure film (72 in the Pentax which is a half-frame) but actually, I suspect this was a 24-exposure film with my film counter showing fewer exposures.
I quite literally couldn't wait for the film scans to arrive!
I decided to combine the Snovlox film with a fisheye lens and for some reason the whole thing came out really dark!
I do not blame the film for this as when you look at other examples, they seem bright enough, I also don't blame my Lomography Fish Eye camera, I'm not entirely sure but I think it was something to do with development and the 'snowflakes' being automatically being taken as a point of reference for the light - so at this point I'm blaming the company I use (which isn't analogue wonderland..)
In conclusion it was fun to use, and I'm not at all put off by the film. Will be using Revolog again!
A fun film to use, probably best used for informal occasions, white spots look great on darker pictures!

Weird but strangely compelling.
I had this film in a Rollei 35 camera for about a year before finally finishing it. I didn't think it would really work in Summer. The snow effects worked better when it was actually snowing (no surprise) but I found it full of contrast though at times maybe a little artificial? I'd say that you need to know why you have loaded it up before you use it, otherwise it stays in the camera a long time. But very happy with the rather weird and quirky results. Abstarct images no problem with this stuff.
