Amazing Quality Paper for the Value

Ilford Pearl Paper is an excellent choice for those seeking high-quality prints with a professional finish. With a smooth satin surface, it offers the perfect balance between glossy and matte, delivering vibrant colors and rich blacks. The 290 gsm weight gives it a substantial feel, while the satin finish enhances detail without excessive shine. Ideal for both color and black-and-white images, it produces sharp, lifelike prints with excellent tonal range. Overall, Ilford Pearl Paper provides stunning results for photographers and print enthusiasts alike.

Usual Ilford Quality

Ilford rarely disappoint, and their paper is no exception. My only complaint (if any) is that sadly nowadays you can't get different weights of paper. It's all standardised.

Quick to develop and fix

This paper is excellent for day to day work and is quick to develop and fix and, more importantly economically, wash.

Excellent value and flexibility

Like it's glossy sibling, Ilford RC pearl is easy to work with and is flexible in darkroom printing.

Easy to handle compared to Fibre Papers.

Easier to handle and vastly more economical than Fibre papers, this paper benefits from wash times of about 5-10 minutes compared to 1 hour for Fibre papers.
