Description
Ilford ID-11 is a fantastic 'all-rounder' developer. Ilford claim it as the industry standard for simple B&W development and we can't disagree: it's versatile, simple, and produces great results across the range of different black and white film although it will excel in particular with slow-medium speed films.
We ship it to you in powder form for easy mixing at home and long shelf life (>3 years). The packets included contain enough chemicals to process 10 rolls of black-and-white film (35mm or 120) at a time.
Choose from 1 litre or 5 litres, depending on your film development needs.
For developing times across multiple films please check the MassiveDevChart here. Please note that you will need a STOP chemical and a FIX chemical to develop your films.

I’m a big fan of Ilfosol 3, so I only got a pack of this because a specific film didn’t work with that. I’ve used this as a 1+1 one shot primarily, with a couple of films requiring stock, but every time it has worked brilliantly. It especially seems to retain blacks incredibly well, and seems to keep grain nice and soft.
For completeness I’ve used this so far with:
Foma Ortho 400 (120)
Ilford HP5+ (120)
Ilford FP4+ (35mm)
Kentmere 400 (35mm)
Kodak TMax 400 (35mm)
A good developer for both beginners and experts. Particularly useful at dilutions 1+1 and 1+3.
I've been using Ilfosol 3 since getting back into home developing, but it does go off quicker than I can use a bottle. My f-in-law suggested ID11, as it was and still is his go to developer. I mixed up the first batch over the weekend and developed a roll of 120 HP4+ 125ASA.
I was a bit nervous about the waterness compared to Ilfosol, particularly diluted 1+1, but it all worked fine and I was impressed with the results. There is good clarity and contrast in the negatives and so much less 'guff' left on the negatives as well. Will be using it again and buying a couple of boxes given that they have an indefinite shelf life.

My first time using a developer other than DF96 monobath. So much easier than I expected and really enjoyable. Also graduated from a Lab box to a Patterson 5 reel tank. The whole process was quick & the results were great. The cost is so good too.
Versatile developer for most films. I particularly like it for getting the most out of HP5 pushed to the limit.
ID 11 is a developer every photographer should at least have on their shelf ready to use, if they aren't using it already, it gives great contrast, is quite happy to play along if you want to play with times a bit.
This is hands-down my favourite developer. It works with any film giving bright, contrasty negatives and it allows you to push-process your Agent Shadow and other fast films to insanely fast levels. It's also at a good price and keeps my film-habit affordable.
My usual photography process involves KosmoFoto Agent Shadow pushed to 800 ISO (I live in Scotland) shot in my Dynax 404si and developed in ID-11. The results are great.
I use this as a stock solution. With each film I add 10% to the development time. I get ten films from each litre. For some films this is the best developer. I have a bulk roll of XP2 which is just amazing in ID11. Rollei retro is also beautiful in this. The only downside is shelf life once mixed, but then, six months should be enough to shoot ten rolls. I always have some of this to hand. It is just so reliable
I've used many developers over the years, Aculux, DDX, FD10, LC29 and I always come back to ID11. It' s just so reliable and guaranteed to give good results will many B&W films.
I've used it mainly 1+1 but also stock. It worked very well with Foma 400 in a 1+1 solution, which is the last time I used it. Recommended.
ID-11 produces best results with slower films but also with 400 speed too. Have used this developer a number of times now and it works great at stock solution.
Analogue Wonderland have one of the cheapest prices in the UK. Beaten only by Wex Photo Video
The same as D76, but cheaper. Very forgiving of errors, it wil develop nearly everything!
This was my first purchasing powder developer and it was easier than I expected. The box comes with mixing instructions and are really easy to follow and understand with no problems. So far I have developed Lady Grey 400 and 2x Santa Rae 1000 films with the kit, and all film has come out just as expected, I'll definitely be buying more in the future.
Really nice easy kit with great results at a good pice too
This is a great all round developer, easy to get consistent results no matter how sloppy your skills/ HP5 looks great out of this developer, but pretty much anything can be done in this. Whenever possible I always try to make sure that I have a box of this in the cupboard. I used to use D-76 as a standard but has slowly moved over to using this more often.
I made this up as per instructions and developed my first roll with it and am very pleased with the results. Just waiting now for an improvement in the weather so I can cycle off and get some better shots. It will be interesting to see how the stock solution ages.
I plan to order some more to keep for future use soon
The test roll was from a Rollei 35, scanned with a hand held digital camera - work in progress
I have used the ID-11 in stock form to process a number of different films (HP5, Street Candy400, fomapan 400 &100) recently with good and consistent results.
I can recommend this as a tried and tested solution.
Does this film developing powder kit need fixer in the developing process.
Yes it does
