Lomography Colour Negative 800 - 35mm Film
A low-light specialist, this Lomo 35mm will be able to keep going well after other films' bedtimes. You'll still need a flash for very dark conditions, but in shadows and forest it will be your faithful sidekick. Three films in one pack gives excellent value for money with over 100 shots in total.

Lomography has been at the forefront of the analogue revolution for decades. Starting in 1992 with some Viennese students falling in love with the aesthetic of a particular Soviet camera (the iconic LC-A) - they founded a movement and a company that would introduce a new generation to the joys of plastic cameras and experiemental film. Periodically innovating new cameras for existing formats - and sometimes bringing back formats specially for their cameras! - they are vibrant and creative

There are now only two high speed colour films left available, and this one is much the cheapest. I've used this as a general purpose film as well as specifically for low light situations. Grain isn't intrusive as long as you're not making very big enlargements. This film gives you the ability to shoot action scenes with a fast shutter speed, or to shoot at night or indoors in situations where 200 and 400 ISO films just won't work. So it would suit a beginner who's worried about hand holding shots, or a more experienced photographer who needs a high speed film.
If you manage to get ahold of this rare film, you will not be disappointed! One of the last consumer high-speed films is actually one of the best films I've used overall. The colours it captures are equal only to Ektar or slide film in my opinion. The only negative thing about this film is that it is extremely hard to find these days.
Will definitely use again once I manage to obtain some more.
This is quite an interesting film shot at box speed. It is quickly becoming one of my favourites for low-light or night photography. It provides you with some incredibly vibrant colours if you like shooting locations with bright neon/coloured lighting. I can even see some halation effects appear on some of my shots, which I found a pleasant surprise. Not very forgiving if underexposed (which is easy if trying to shoot handheld), so bring a tri-pod! Be warned you'll see lots of grain though I find it a blessing.
Apart from all this, I also love the skin tone rendition when shot indoors under artificial light - so some added versatility there, which I intend to experiment with more in future. The only aspect I did not like was shooting this in bright sun-light, dynamic range seemed lacking.
I really want to try this out in medium format and hope there is some more stock coming soon!
I first came across this film, in August 2019. I wanted a film that I could shoot at night. And this turned out to be a great all rounder.
As yet I haven't shoot it at IE800, The 3 rolls I have used have been shoot at IE1600 and 3200, but even pushing to two stops, the film works wonderfully well and give great colour saturation.
The price point is great for the 3 rolls and is a good price to allow you experiment with this film
For the price, this pack of 3 rolls is amazing value for low light photography. The quality of the film as well is amazing with great tones for all situations.
