Hello Kitty & Friends "Howdy Partner" 35mm Film is a special creative film from Retrospekt with muted nostalgic colours and a continuous cute Hello Kitty & Friends pattern pre-exposed across the top and bottom of the film. Adding a playful frame to every image and definitely for those looking for a kawaii aesthetic.

The film itself can be processed in standard C-41 colour chemistry - available at most labs. The 35mm film has 24 exposures and is 400 ISO, making it a great option for both outdoors and indoors film photography.

Please note that this film has the icons pre-exposed onto the film and can show up differently on every photo taken. We highly recommend using the flash for all photos indoors ✨

This film, I am not entirely sure what scenario it is for other than group friend shots maybe or a Japanese-themed convention? Hyper Japan maybe?

My findings with this is that the film is very grainy at times, though it is fun having all the Hello Kitty & Friends imprinted, that is a nice fun touch. It does have a vintage feel to it, the colours are neutral in a vintage way and it does deal with shadows well, but at the price point, it is definitely more of a "for fun" film and one that needs a particular scenario.

Would I use it again? SURE! But as long as I am at a convention or something like that where the whimsy of the film can be fully utilised.
