Budget-friendly Kodak
This is a little lighter on the bank balance than Portra which is what I usually like to photograph with. It's not just the price though, these are quite different films with Gold delivering much more saturated colours than Portra does. Same great quality film though, easily to handle for both home developing and scanning.

I ran a roll of this through a Zeiss Ikon Nettar 518/16 self-erecting camera, and the shots came out with a nice feel to them. I'm new to developing colour, so there's work to do on the processing, but this film felt quite forgiving of the limited shutter speeds I was working with in different lighting.
I've got some 35mm Gold 200 in another camera just now, so I'm intrigued to see how the two compare (assuming it should be the same emulsion, but the cameras are worlds apart!).
I'll definitely be getting some more the next time I get a hankering for some medium format colour.

Using Kodak Gold with my Bronica S2
I bought a Bronica S2 and wanted to test it out. The first roll showed me there were focusing issues. I changed the foam under the focusing screen and mirror and shot a second roll. The problem was fixed and the results are shown as samples. I have two more rolls to process. Great film to use.

Love this film.
Has a slight difference than Gold on 35mm. A lot sharper, the warmth isn’t as strong. Highly recommend this as an alternative to Portra.
Went for this as the other colour options in 120 were above my price range, and while I generally prefer Ultramax in 35mm, this film did a great job in a 63 year old Lubitel 2. Especially pleased at how well the double exposures came out.
