What you will see with this ticket:
Join us for a scenic 2-hour film photowalk through one of London’s most iconic green spaces. Starting at Hampstead Heath station and finishing at Gospel Oak, this walk is designed for film photographers who want to capture the ponds, skyline views, and atmospheric paths of Hampstead Heath.
What to expect
Duration: 2 hours (including short photo stops)
Start: Outside Hampstead Heath Station. W3W: ///frame.starts.only
Finish: Gospel Oak station
Focus: Film photography — any format welcome (35mm, 120, instant, etc.)
Pace: Relaxed, group-friendly, with time to compose and shoot
Route highlights
Enter Hampstead Heath from the station and head straight into the heart of the Heath.
The Ponds: We’ll explore the famous Hampstead ponds area, with opportunities for reflections, swimmer portraits, and layered compositions among the trees and water.
Parliament Hill: Climb to this viewpoint - one of London’s highest natural points at 98 metres—for sweeping skyline shots of the city.
Down toward Gospel Oak: We’ll drop across the Heath toward the south-east side, passing quieter tree-lined paths and the lido area, finishing near Gospel Oak station.
This route is curated for film photographers: varied light, strong foregrounds, and a mix of intimate and wide-angle scenes.
What to bring
Your film camera (any format), Comfortable walking shoes, Weather-appropriate clothing (the Heath is open and can be windy and rainy).
Optional: notebook for exposure notes, lens cloth, small bag for gear
Meeting point
Meet at Hampstead Heath station (London Overground) just before the start time. We’ll gather briefly for introductions and a quick route overview before heading into the Heath.
Ending
We’ll finish near Gospel Oak station, with easy access to the London Overground if you want to head home or continue exploring.
This 8.4 km photowalk features mixed terrain with tarmac and gravel paths, some of which can become slippery after rain. The route includes a climb to Parliament Hill (one of London’s highest natural points at 98m) and requires moderate fitness. While many paths across Hampstead Heath are surfaced and wheelchair-friendly, this specific station-to-station route may be challenging for those with limited mobility or wheelchair users.
Hampstead Heath station is step-free with lifts, and disabled toilets are available on the Heath. If you have accessibility concerns, please contact us before booking so we can discuss whether this route suits your needs.
This photowalk takes place outdoors in Hampstead Heath, so service animals are welcome. We're happy to make reasonable adjustments to ensure everyone can enjoy the day - if you have specific accessibility needs (such as a slower pace, additional rest stops, a modified route section, or assistance with information), please let us know when you book or contact us directly. We can discuss how to adapt the walk to suit your requirements while still capturing some great shots.
Ana Blumenkron is facilitating this walk and you can see more from Ana here.
Ticket Options:
Due to the success of last year, we have created not one, not two but three options for tickets this year, so that people who don't shoot colour/35mm film - or who want to develop their film at home or with another lab - can still join the Walk and share the love of film together!

The included development and scanning only applies if you hand the roll of film back to your Photowalk leader at the end of the event, for consolidated sending back to our lab. We expect you to have finished one roll of film during the walk, and probably be halfway through the second!
If you haven't finished your first roll of film at the end of the walk - or you want to send in extra rolls of film - then please place a separate processing order through our lab at your earliest convenience.
The development will be: Colour 35mm, Standard Scans, Correct and Rotate editing package. If you wish for different options for your film please talk to the lab after the event and they'll be happy to arrange, and charge for any difference.
You will have the opportunity to order prints from your film after seeing the scans - this service is not included in the development package.
†A Black Colour camera will be provided, though this is dependant on stocks and colours may vary on the day.
Competition
We will run a competition - judged by our partners - for the best film photo taken on the day 🏆 So please bring your creative minds and favourite cameras for a chance to win serious goodies.
